A special edition, limited to 216 numbered copies for sale, published as part of “The Douro Series”, by The Port Lover’s Library (Isaac Oelgart).

Originally published in French in 1900, this English translation by Norma R. Shakun was published in 1999.

This short booklet appears to have been part of the author’s contribution to exhibiting the wines of Offley, Forrester and Co. at the Universal Exhibition of 1900 in Paris. An interesting read, containing a number of descriptions of the people and culture of Oporto and the Douro that I have not encoutered in other books.
