Published for the IVDP in 1999, this book provides information and tasting notes of the 277 Vintage Ports from 47 producers presented at the “Vintages of the Century” tasting held in the same year.
A very attractively presented book that was limited to 500 copies, so it is rare and quite expensive to acquire.

This large volume contains 380 pages of good information on all things to do with Port. For some reason this seem to be a reasonably expensive book but worth having for the serious collector.
Published in 1956 by the Instituto do Vinho do Porto, where the author was Agricultural Engineer Director.

Written by “a port enthusiast” and published in 1988, this appears to be very similar in style and content to The Port Companion by Godfrey Spence. The author has produced several wine books and is currently a blogger for Decanter magazine.
First published in 1979 by Christie’s Wine Publications.
Mostly historical stuff but a nice chapter entitled “Port in the Kitchen” which includes a number of recipes.
Similar type of content to Mayson’s Port and the Douro but without the detailed vintage reports. More of a story than a source reference.
This book was written by the then Chairman and former Manager of the House of Croft.
